Ballots were distributed to the membership present, and the applicants were approved for election to the membership. James Harris, Chief Financial Officer, presented the FY 1994 (through September 30, 1994) Financial Audit Report for the Roper Health System (includes all entities). Mr. Rogers reported for W. Blount Ellison, M.D., Chairman, ROPER 2000, who was excused. He said that ROPER 2000 was organized approximately five years prior, and the purpose has been to organize younger physicians to work as a "think tank" to help to debate the future issues affecting health care delivery and develop policy recommendations for the Board of Directors. Under the leadership of Dr. Ellison, the Committee will become more active in legislative front, has invited outlying physicians to join, and has been working on strategic plan for the Committee. James M. Hayes, M.D., Chairman of the Board of Directors of Roper Hospital, Inc., and Roper Health System, Inc., gave the following report: 1. Reviewed the 1995 Strategic Mission and Goals developed at the Board of Directors' Retreat held January 27-28, 1995.
