Regular Meeting, Medical Society of South Carolina, 7:00 P. M., Tuesday, February 24, 1970 at the Country Club of Charleston by the President, Dr. Henry C. Robertson. (MN) Members Present 50. The following members were present: R. M. Anderson, F. M. Ball, Leon Banov, Leon Banov, Jr., C. D. Boette, Albert Cannon, R. R. Coleman, Henry Donato, G. G. Durst, M. G. Evans, H. C. Heins, K. H. Herbert, T. G. Herbert, J. R. Ivester, S. E. Izard, F. W. Kinard, T. A. Kirkland, A. L. Lemel, R. P Linder, I. G. Linton, C. P. Maguire, D. L. Maguire, A. McL. Martin, L. C. Martin, R. W. McB. Witherspoon. (MN) Minutes approved. The Secretary read the minutes of the preceding meeting, 18 November 1969, which were approved as read. There were no proposals for membership or candidates to be balloted for. Report of Officers and Committees. (MN) President reappoints committees. Dr. Henry C. Robertson, after opening remarks as the Society�s new President, reappointed the Long Range Planning Committee, Building committee and Program Committee. (MN) Dr. E. F. Parker reports for Board of Commissioners. Dr. Edward F. Parker reported for the Board of commissioners and this report is as follows: Since the November 18, 1969, meeting of the Medical Society of South Carolina, the following are the developments within the hospital and action by the hospital Board which I believe may be of interest for the February 24, 1969, meeting of the Society: 1 � The hospital census has returned to normal after a drop during December and early January. Although we experienced a substantial deficit in December, hospital operations are again showing a surplus. 2 � The annual audit as prepared by the firm of McKnight & Frampton was accepted at the January meeting of the Board.
