Description | Letter from Dr. John A. Boone of the Medical College of the State of South Carolina to Dr. Alfred Blalock of the Johns Hopkins Hospital, discussing the autopsy findings for Dr. Horace G. Smithy and the condition of the aorta should a valvulotomy have been performed. Boone also indicates that efforts would be made to prepare Smithy's paper for publication in "Surgery, Gynecology and Obstetrics" and that there would be no plans to perform a valvulotomy on Smithy's patient. |
