| Description | Carcinoma of head of pancreas with biliary obstruction. COMMENT: Large sac-like structure (large arrow) is the obstructed gallbladder--turn to the back of the specimen and note compression or stenosis of common bile duct by tumor (small arrows) and proximal dilatation of extrahepatic and intrahepatic bile ducts (small arrows). The actual pancreas is difficult to fine in this specimen, but small arrows on front of specimen outline the are of the pancreas. |
