Description | Regional enteritis of colon. COMMENT: Focal and segmental involvement. Markedly thickened and pebbly-looking mucosa overlies very thickened wall with rather diffuse narrowing of the lumen. Also serosa of affected segment is fibrinous, hemorrhagic and thick. Affected segment looks like "garden hose". Note abrupt change to relatively normal bowel. |
