Dear Madam, There is a vacancy among the Physicians of the State Lunatic Asylum & I am anxious to fill it with a woman. The place is that of Asst. Physician & Surgeon, formerly fil[l]ed by Dr. Kirby, resigned. You have been highly recommended to me & I now offer you the place subject of course to a satisfactory examination before the Supt. Dr. Babcock. Please let me know at once of your decision. Very sinc. Jno. Gary Evans Govr.
