MY THOUGHTS
Closing the hospital will hurt a lot of my people. There are
too many of us who can't afford private doctors. The strikers
are still seeing the doctors at the Medical College Clinic yet
they do not want us to work. Please stop and think of the
outcome of what will happen if the clinic is closed.
Diabetic, obstetrical and glaucoma patients to name a few,
need constant care and attention. How will these people afford
this kind of medical care and where will they go to receive
it? Private physicians already have as many as they can care for.
Many of the older people even if they could afford a private
doctor would rather attend the clinic. Most of them are
on medications that has to be taken daily. If they can't
receive this care what will become of them?
These people are the most important in this dispute yet they
have been completely forgotten. They will be the ones to suffer
and the majority of my people in this county have family and
friends attending the Out-Patient Clinic.
Let's all think of them and put them first.
