Description	Letter, written by Dr. Alfred Blalock and addressed to Dr. Helen Taussig of the Johns Hopkins Hospital, in which Blalock requests another opinion regarding the January 18, 1946 letter from Dr. John R. Boone of the Medical College of the State of South Carolina. Blalock expresses his uncertainty in performing cardiac surgery on Dr. Horace G. Smithy, and requests that Taussig review Boone's letter to give her assessment.
