26th. of AUGUST 1920./
Dear Miss,/
You must ask for what I have not/
written to you before this long time, but you know like it/
is in France it was not possible that I get my pictures, the/
first ones I took at the cimetery were not good, my film was/
spotted grey it was not possible to print them. Then I have/
returned with my mother and I have took some ones just two/
were good, also I send you them in my letter, where is the/
cross, it is there who was the soldier, now he is not in/
France because American Officers are come here for to serch/
the coffins of all the American boys who was buried here,/
and now your boy must be in States./
I close for this time and I hope I/
shall receive of your news sometimes. If you write to Miss/
Andell give her my best wishes./
With my best remembrance and best wishes./
